PCIO — Privacy Policy

PCIO is a free, open-source app that turns your Android phone into a wireless mouse and keyboard for your own PC over your local network. This policy explains what data the app touches and what it does not.
The short version: PCIO has no servers and no accounts of its own. It collects no personal data, shows no ads, and contains no analytics or tracking. It talks only to a companion program that you run on your own PC, over your own local network.

Data PCIO does not collect
PCIO does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no PCIO account, no PCIO server on the internet, no advertising, and no analytics or crash reporting. The developer never receives your identity, your keystrokes, your device data, or any other information from your use of the app.
How PCIO works
When you use PCIO, your phone discovers and connects to the PCIO server program running on your PC over your local Wi-Fi network. The mouse movements and keystrokes you make in the app are sent directly to that PC so it can act on them. This traffic stays on your local network and goes only to the computer you choose to connect to. Nothing is routed through the developer or any third party.
Permissions
- Internet & network state — used only to find and communicate with your PC on the same local network. PCIO does not use them to send any data to the developer or to the wider internet.
What is stored on your device
Any preferences the app keeps are stored locally on your device only and are never sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Children
PCIO is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
